Attention Skaters, Parents and Coaches: There will be information sessions to discuss recent changes to the IJS on Friday at 12:30 and on Saturday at 1:40. Also, Coaches' Hospitality will be available in the back of the arena for the duration of the event.

Eleventh Annual Basic Skills Skate with U.S. Competition

The Eleventh Annual Basic Skills Skate with U.S. Competition sponsored by The Skating Club of Boston will be held at The Skating Club of Boston on February 6, 2010. The purpose of this competition is to promote a fun, introductory, competitive experience for the beginning skater. We are again including Introductory Synchronized Skating and Theater on Ice!

Entries must be postmarked no later than January 18, 2010. PLEASE NOTE: Entries received by December 31st will be discounted $5 (to the 2009 cost) for each event.

2010 Boston Synchronized Skating Classic

March 27, 2010

The inaugural 2010 Boston Synchronized Skating Classic hosted by Team Excel and The Skating Club of Boston will be held at The Skating Club of Boston on March 27, 2010.

This event is proud to participate in the Eastern Synchronized Skating Challenge Series. Participation in this series is open to all Beginner 1, 2, or 3 teams and preliminary, pre-juvenile, open juvenile, open collegiate or open adult teams.

We will also be featuring a very special complementary coaching clinic available to all coaches and skaters by Merita Mullen, coach of National medal winning and US world teams.

Boston Open

June 18-21, 2009

This year, we are excited to be moving our date earlier in the season and we know that this event will be a great beginning of the competition season.

We have also made a couple of important changes to the competition. First, we are proud to announce that we are bringing in more National level officials to this year's event. Second, we are offering free critiques for Juvenile through Senior IJS Events in all disciplines (Singles, Pairs and Dance).

Depending on the number of applications, we will be starting either on Wednesday or Thursday and running through mid afternoon on Sunday. We will use the IJS system for all events Juvenile through Senior (not including Test Track) and are offering events in all disciplines including Singles, Pairs, Original Dance, Free Dance, Adult and Test Track.
