Dear Competitors, Coaches, Officials, Parents and Fans,
On behalf of The Skating Club of Boston, its members and a host of dedicated volunteers, we welcome you to the 2009 Eastern United States Figure Skating Championships. The Summer Olympics were truly remarkable but now all eyes and focus turns to the 2010 Winter Olympics to be held in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Our event, along with the Pacific and Midwestern Sectional Championships, will send United States Figure Skating's best qualifiers to the 2009 National Championships in Cleveland, Ohio to possibly begin their trip to the 2010 Winter Olympics. Yes, as hard as it is to imagine, we could very well be watching some of our next Olympic competitors performing for us here in Boston. We are proud to be the host of the 2009 Eastern Sectionals and hope it is a memorable first link for you to the XXI Winter Olympic Games as a competitor, coach, official or skating fan.
Enjoy the history and elegance that The Skating Club of Boston offers you and then while you are here extend out to our neighborhoods of Boston and Cambridge and enjoy the sights and sounds for which they are distinctly responsible and known.
