Mary Louise Wright Exhibition and Silent Auction

Join us for an evening of great skating and support a fantastic cause!

The fourth annual Mary Louise Wright Memorial Exhibition will take place at the Skating Club of Boston on Saturday March 8th 2008 at 6:15pm, with a silent auction beginning at 5:30pm. We have an impressive lineup of skaters, including US National Bronze Medalist Stephen Carriere, Eastern Sectional Champion Katrina Hacker, National Junior Champion Alexe Gilles, National Junior Silver Medalists Piper Gilles & Timothy McKernan, and Eastern Sectional Junior Champion Curran Oi. And that's only the beginning. Spend an evening with the next generation of skating champions.

An admission charge of $10 per person includes the show, silent auction and hors d'oeuvres. There will also be a cash bar. All proceeds from entrance fees and the silent auction will be donated to The Skating Club of Boston's Wright Memorial Scholarship Award, and the U.S. Figure Skating Memorial Fund in the name of Mary Louise Wright. The Wright Memorial Scholarship Award will be presented at our annual Awards Banquet to a selected skater, representing The Skating Club of Boston, who most exemplifies the qualities and ethics demonstrated by Mrs. Wright throughout her life.

Mrs. Mary Louise Wright had devoted her life to the support and growth of the sport as a National competitor, National, Olympic, and World judge, and mentor to countless skaters, many of whom have become icons of the skating world. She was posthumously honored at the 2005 State Farm U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Portland, Oregon where she was inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame.
